The "Driving Man" Contest
Hi! My name is Matt Sanderlin - I'm a musician based in Nashville, TN. I play multiple instruments and produce my own music. To help me pursue my dream of being a full-time artist, I drive for rideshare apps during the day (like Uber, Lyft). I have an upcoming song called "Driving Man" - an acoustic, narrative-driven song chronicling a relationship unfolding, and have decided to do an unusual pre-save giveaway. The winner will have the opportunity to have me as their personal driver, at no cost to them, for one full day! (Rules apply, see below) Pre-save "Driving Man" to be entered in the drawing for the giveaway.
Contest Rules!
One winner will be selected on March 21, 2025, and announced on March 22, 2025.
To enter, you must be 18 years or older. Winner must be able to verify legal age and residence with driver’s license or government ID.
To enter, pre-save the upcoming Matt Sanderlin song “DRIVING MAN” using the DistroKid link (https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/mattsanderlin/driving-man). All pre-saves for the song are automatically tracked and compiled. Limit one entry per person. The last day to pre-save and enter is March 20, 2025.
The Winner will be contacted by email and announced publicly through a social media post on March 22, 2025 on Matthew Sanderlin's Instagram profile (https://www.instagram.com/mattsanderlin/). Winner will have 48 hours to respond to winning notification to accept the prize. After 48 hours, the prize will be offered to a second party, who will also be given 48 hours to respond. After 48 hours has expired from the 2nd candidate, the prize will be given to a winner chosen by the Driver (Matthew Sanderlin).
Winner must provide full and accurate contact information - name, address, phone number - and be able to verify identity with legal driver's license or government ID within 48 hours of receiving prize notification.
The grand prize is one, 12-hour day of driving service, provided by the Driver (Matthew Sanderlin) at no charge to the Winner.
The Winner is allowed up to 2 additional passengers (each passenger must be 18 years or older), permitting available seats and seat belts.
Winner must provide complete driving schedule to Driver (Matthew Sanderlin) no later than 48 hours before the day of the reward.
The Winner must reside in the continental United States of America. Award service provided by Driver (Matthew Sanderlin) must take place entirely within the continental United States of America. Travel expenses for Driver to Winner's location are covered by the Driver (Matthew Sanderlin).
Absolutely no illegal, dangerous, risky, sexual, unethical or questionable errands of any kind will be allowed. Driver (Matthew Sanderlin) reserves the right to decline any request that he deems unfitting.
The full day of driving service will begin at 5AM, 6AM or 7AM on the designated day, and will discontinue service 12 hours later on the same day (12 hours total). The final destination of the day must be reached before 7PM. Mileage limit during the day of award is 300 miles.
The entirety of the award day trip will be video recorded, documented, and shared on social media. Winner will be required to sign a media release form and a legal liability waiver before filming. These documents will be sent to Winner 48 hours before the award day, and must be signed in order to accept the award.
The vehicle used for transport must be treated with care and respect by Winner and their associates. The transport of any illegal materials, substances is strictly prohibited. Encouraging or participating in illegal activity of any kind is strictly prohibited. The vehicle can be used to transport everyday items (groceries, suitcases, clothing, and similar items), but items larger than available space and any dangerous objects are not allowed. No weapons of any kind are permitted inside the vehicle.
Winner and associates must remain respectful to Driver during the day of the award. Absolutely no harassment (physical, verbal) towards the Driver will be tolerated. Driver maintains the right to end the award day early if the behavior Winner or any of their associates becomes disrespectful, harmful, or dangerous.
If Winner does not agree to these terms, their eligibility will be forfeited. Driver (Matthew Sanderlin) retains all rights to disqualify the Winner if they violate any rules before the prize is redeemed.

Matt Sanderlin is an indie multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer from Birmingham, AL, now based in Nashville, TN. He has been writing and releasing original music for over a decade, working within a varitey of different genres (pop, folk, punk pop, dream pop, R&B). Last year, he self-released 15 original songs, culminating in the album The Common Thread, which is streaming on all major platforms.
